172 cup cutting out

my 172 cup cuts out when it gets to 6000rpm it goes in to safe mode and will idle but wont rev i have turn it off and then on again to get rid of it has it happend to anyone elses

Could be a number of things does it have any other problems?
TDC sesnor is a possibility also coil packs and plugs.

no the management light comes on ive got a omex rev limiter and launch button so ive had to set it at 6000rpm 4 now untill i sort it

Hi Edde,

I am wondering if there is any concern when changing the TDC sensor??? My garage guy told me it may make the car not start. I got one but not fitted yet, it is a updated version.

BTW, for the I personally will clean the throttle body every 5k. You can find it is easy to get dirty. Just use the throttle cleaner to spray and clean (better when the engine is still hot), or you can just remove it any clean the the rear as well.

nah, crank sensor doesnt need fitting onless its broken!
