172 cup Farnham....beeped me, After market exhaust possibly lowered?

  172DD Cup
winner, finally been spotted! i was in the wrong lane on the roundabout, getting lost trying to find my way to gsf from an unknown direction :S

edit: not lowered though. recessed exhaust. with a crappy black bit of plastic that looks like a crappy heat shield, because whoever cut the recess for the exhaust did a crappy job

Weyyy! Yeah I thought I would let you in... Do the decent thing and all that! It looked like it had been lowered slightly maybe on eibach springs. Sounded nice tho! So where abouts do you live? Work any where round here?

It needs lowering, I can get my fist between wheel arch and tyre! Far too high. I live just down the road in farnborough, work miles away in reading though. U?

get some pics up when they're fitted. i'm getting some black alloys (wanted these since 2003 no matter what car i had!) but will have to lower first. i don't know if springs will go low enough so be good to see what yours do.

Yeah il post pictures on Friday wen they have settled in! I think you should keep the silver turinis. I would have them on my car if I had the money spare!

one of the reasons for changing the wheels is that i will need some new tyres in the coming months, and the turinis are kerbed quite a bit. the obvious plan would be to get them refurbed and new tyres, but that would cost as much as a new set of wheels. i've seen 15" black pro race's go for as little as £125, albeit not clio fitment. if i can pick a set up for £200 or so with good tyres, i'd save myself a bomb, and probably make money by selling the turinis.

but i reckon i can only go to 15" wheels if i get it lowered. the front of the clio is like a tractor, i sometimes wonder if it's got non-cup springs on!

o really, that would be a bummer! Yeah i have a 106 gti and i paid £326 for a full refurb!! but that was on decent wheels (speedline chrono's) expensive but they look the dogs!
