172 cup front hub

  Clio 172 Cup Rally
Hi, Can't work out how to use the wanted adds on here...but I am basically after a N/S front hub for a Clio 172 CUP. I understand that they are different to the standard 172s? I think I have the wrong front hub on there at the moment, as there is always excessive play between the lower ball joint and the hub assembly. It is being used on a rally car so needs to be in good order. I am also interested to know what manufacturer people are using for their lower ball joints...as I bought some cheap ones on ebay and the holes were the wrong size.
Any help/info would be appreciated! Thanks.:D

You can't see the wanted ads because your not a full member mate. It's worth paying the membership fee tbh. Regards the hubs, the 172's all had the same hubs. The 182 cup/cup packed/trophy had different ones. They all share the same bottom ball joint as well so it sounds like yours has got an elongated bottom ball joint hole. It's a common problem unfortunately. I've had a fair few sent to me for the roll centre correction/bump steer modifications that have suffered this.

Regards the bottom ball joints you want to go for lemforder ones. They also need to have a 12mm bolt hole for use on r sports. The ones you have I'd imagine are 10mm.

Hope that helps
