172 cup gearbox and Gripper help

I have a gripper in my box and been told that these are normally noisey when turning the wheel at low speeds specially when pulling away when wheels on full lock.

People with grippers fitted how noisey are your??

Mines better now after a good thrashing around Donington on Friday (1st time out), but brand new, it was really clunky, even in a straight line.
Depends on the set up though, they built mine for racing, so it's really tight.

That'll be right, is it new, just been rebuilt?

Got rebuilt last year and not used much this year 2 sprints and 1 trackday

I just can't see it being the diff.

Last sprint one of the marshals even came up to me and asked if car was ok and I was only turning slowly

Mine makes a hell of a racket . it's made same noises from new and been rebuilt/ refreshed and is still the same .
