172 Cup gearbox in 182 FF

Hello Guys and Girls,

Just a quick question, does anyone know if a 172 cup gearbox will fit in a 182 FF without any issues as if it would be a straight swap?

I'm sure it will fit but the speedo sensor wouldn't fit as there are 2 types of gearbox one is the older type which is in the ph1 and in the ph2 cup's as they have no ABS and the speedo sensor fits straight in there box there was a few 172 non cup that didn't have ABS but 182 did so the speedo sensor fits into the ABS

No as the 182 doesn't have a hole for the speedo sensor.

Nope, other way round.

172Cup/Ph1 Box can go in any Mk2 RS.

Right so you would just block up the hole or leave it ?
