172 Cup Intermittent Misfire

My 172 cup has started missing on startup at both idle and upto 2krpm, sometimes from cold, sometimes when warm and only lasts a couple of minutes. Its done 43k and serviced regularly.
Anyone got any ideas what it could be? Plugs/leads? Air leak?

My 172 was doing it up to around 3k revs .Turned out to be the plugs , the car was on 30k miles .

as said above ppl have had similar problems , try the plugs 1st .

cheers for your replies guys. do you need to change the inlet manifold gasket too when doing the plugs or is the old one re-usable?

Should be replaced but you don't 100% need to.

Inspect it, if it looks worn or too squashed as so to speak then change it. Theres a rubber o ring that needs to be checked too.
