172 cup rear disc and bearings

Hi,

My brother has just got new discs and bearing for the rear, new hub nut ect. for his 172 cup

Fitted the new disc, torqued the nut to correct setting and theres still movement in the disc?

Is somthing missing??

Any ideas??

Where is the movement? From the bearings or back and forth on the stub axle?

Bearing could have been damaged when pressed in?

Hub nut could be cross threaded - unlikely?

The movement in back and forth, bearings are fine, hub nut is ok, he's slightly puzzled

I think you have the same problem as me.

I bought new rear disc pads and bearings recently.

Upon fitting the new disc and bearing there was play in the disc and it just wasnt right. We measured the original bearing compared to my new one and the original was 25mm diameter compared to the new one at 30mm diameter.

I've contacted a few local parts places round my way and only one place had in stock 25mm sized bearings however they were £35 each compared to the initial £17.50 i had paid.
