172 Cup vs ST Mountune

Washed my car today and detailed my mates Fiesta ST.

Results below:

am a big fan of the ST500 bonnet graphic, then again I did fit it

I love both, except the bonnet! Take the bonnet Graphics off the fiesta and it would look lovely IMO.

Clio looks well, never been a fan on STs, Although i did like my mates to be honest, only cos it was slammed on cossie wheels.

I think it finishes the car off, but each to their own.

What power/spec is the ST ?

It had the 185 Mountune kit fitted in November if I remember correctly, had it RR'd in Feb and was making 166bhp at the wheels. Can't quite remember torque final figures.

It sounds like one pissed off car on full chat, spits flames and will make your ears bleed with pops and bangs.

Performance wise it's almost all square, slight better pull in cup in lower gears. But my cup isn't standard either, he had a small duel with a cup from here and came out victorious.

Kit has a custom air box/CAF with sports cat, full Miltek exhaust with custom profiled cams then remapped with mountune generic 185 map. £1900 fully fitted from Mountune direct.

Turns the ST from warm hatch to hot hatch and should be how it left Ford.

Still loving the looks of your Clio tho, but both cars are pretty sorted.

It really does transform the car, and still gets an extra 2-3mpg under normal driving.

Doesn't void his warranty and is insurance only went up £35 for the year. I think thats down to the fact it's classed as an option extra rather then a mod.
