172 Drivers seat question...

I wrote a post about my drivers seat (alcantara) going a bit bobbly on the side a week or so ago, but now i have noticed that where your actual bum goes its wearing quite bad.
As ive recently purchased this car im not sure if this is a sign that the mileage may be higher than it says it is
My mileage is just hitting 28k and i cant understand how the seat can wear that fast.
If anyone else has had this problem could you please tell me the mileage in which it started to wear?
I apologise in advance, i am a bit of a fuss pot, and its just something i would like to know to put my mind at rest.

Well my mk2 172 has done just under 76,000 miles, and the seats in pretty good condition, only a light bit worn out on the side bolsters.

Maybe, Altough i pretty much wear jeans when i drive my 172.

I always wear jeans and mine went bobbly in my 172 , especially on the left side . I always used to keep my wallet and keys in my back left ass cheek pocket so i put it down to that .

My dads has done it a bit, his 172 is on 40k he wears jeans a lot too.

Mines fine, the seats are totally mint (phase 1 seats though) it's on 28.5k

Maybe the last owner was carrying a few pounds.

Guy that had my cup before me was a fatty and the drivers subframe needed replacing shortly after i got it... lol!

mines on 75k (ph1) and ive only just noticed the bobbling on the lower back arse area.

Mines done 24k, and already the side bolster is wearing and also the actual cloth bit of the seat where your arse goes is getting thin. Ive now got a seat cover, but i still know its there and it p***es me of! I tried putting shoe polish over the scratched bits but it just wears off

A bit of a late reply but if you try car leather care on the side bolster, it worked for mine where it had worn

Yep my 172 ph2's done 35k and has bobbled. Just crappy cheap materials i'm afraid.
