172 ECU de-mobilisation



  R5 GTT
I am about to pick up an early 172 lump with ecu & loom to start my conversion of putting it into my little R5 GTT and then eventually turboing the 172 lump but will be using it in NA form for the time being with the GTT box so I can retain the GTT clocks.

But I have heard about the standard ECU's being immobilised, is there anyway around it? or do I have to go standalone ecu?
