172 engine question

  172 ph1 ASBO SLAYER

hi, quick question, the f4r engine, are the cam followers shimmed or hydrolic?

mine seem to rattle a bit on overrun!

im sure its not an ancillary, the only other thing it could be is the timing belt tensioner bearing orn guide pulley bearing

cheers:D

dug my belt book out today, but it would be appreciated if anyone could tell me the belt tension in kg/whatever i use a gates krikit/clickit gauge and reno specify the belt tension in seem units. i know it seems a daft question but i always like to double check the tension and ive lost my conversion table

also anyone do the belt kits at a discount

dealers and light motor factors dont like giving commercial garages a trade account cos they dont sell enough to us to make it worthwhile
