172 exhaust manifold fitting.

got the new engine fitted in the 172 but can't get the manifold in place... only a few mm's before i can get a nut on the stud to hopefully pull it against the header. Any tips? clearance is terrible.

fit the manifold to the engine before you install it!

i got mine on when the engine was in, a little tap from timmy mallet under the car helped it in,

My manifold was broken once, and they had to loosen the engine mounts and pull the engine forward, so they could fit it properly.

im going to have a go tomorrow... as ive got to take the rest of the exhaust off anyway.. hopefully will make it more manouverable..
