172 has now departed

After 4 years of trouble free and treble entertaining motoring, the 172 has now gone :-(

In its place is a sparkling megane 225 in arctic blue. I have now covered a whole 8 miles, and first impressions are that the thing seems a lot better put together. In terms of power, its amazingly linear in delivery, but the fecking thing is so quiet you think you are going a lot slower than you are.

Completed my first overtake in 6th gear. The way the thing approaches the back of other cars when you decide to overtake is scary. Nearly piled into the back of the fiesta I was overtaking!

I think it fulfills what I need - wanted a decent motorway cruiser as I do loads of busines miles with the ability to have a decent A road blast. So far so good!

Excellent mate. I love the 225's! Did you get a good deal on the 225 and also your old 172?

Tyson.

Nice one

Have to say the look of the new Megane has really grown on me.....I would consider getting one next:D

They are both company cars, so no need for old fashioned money!! Just pay £180 tax on the meg per month, with servicing, repairs, tyres, tax, business mileage all free. COuld not buy and run one for that! 172 cost me £120.

Got pics on the phone, so will sort some out.

Nice one, not really given them much thought before. I can see the appeal but still not overly keen on the rear window, but it's what's under the bonnet that really appeals.

Congrats and happy motoring
