172, lambda sensor, short circuit fault??

Engine management light is on
code reads something along the lines of:
upstream lambda sensor short circuit.

replaced the sensor yesterday but the fault is still there
the wires and plugs all look to be okay. Any ideas?

Get a multimeter on it.

Turns out it was a plug on my carbon canister
it was a bit corroded so a quick clean up and she was good to go again
