172 MK2 Electric Window broke again! :-(

My driver side electric window broke a year ago. It was the plastic clip that hold the wire broke. Fixed by a junkyard one.

Yesterday, passenger side broke! I think the regulator worksm and I think it is caused by same problem again.

Anyone know where is the best place to buy??? How much does Renault cost??
I want a new set this time. I am thinking Ebay.
Is 5 drs and 3 drs using the same kit?
Is there any upgraded one??

They charged me £45 for postage to HK.

quite a common thing to go. you can get cheap ones but they are much louder than the Renault ones. Renault ones are quite expensive though.

I just got a quote from a Reno dealer in UK.

Genuine Renault window regulator is around £220!!!
Postage to HK is £150.00!!! This is unreal.

had a whole unit spare lastweek! gave it away with a door i sold. I got a working renault motor but its had the cable cut but you can swap it over with the old 1

I think I will remove the trim and have a look first.

I also double check the Ebay seller on the link above to make sure it can fit onto my 172 MK2. He replied and said I have to make sure mine has the 2-pins connector.
I guess all 172 are using the same connector right?

I got 2 sets from a Ebay seller. £52.99ukp.
Postage to HK only 65ukp (4 sets total. I got the driver side as well, plus my friend also got 2 sets for his Pug 306). Only took 2 days to Hong Kong. I am surprise!

Fitted yesterday, the motor sounds loud when the window going up.
But the window doesn't work today again, I think the motor is gone, it has no sound at all. Emailed the seller and see if he can send me another piece or refund. He had already sent me a message for positive feedback

Crazy!!! I think I need to solve this problem. I am not sure if the old motor can fit onto this new set cos its design look different.

I got a price from Renault when mine broke and they don't sell individual components only complete units and it was just over £200 so i went the scrapyard route!
