172 PH2 model differences

Hi all

Can you tell me what differences there are between PH2 172's between 2001 and 2002/3?

So far i can see they introduced ESP from 2002, and some seem to have clear indicators. Anything else?

There was never clear indicators. Someone has fitted those.

They had cruise at a certain point, not sure when exactly..

I think he might mean clear side repeaters.
Ph2 172's originally came with orange side repeaters but later ones were clear.
Mine's a 53 plate and they're clear. I've seen 52 plate ones with orange repeaters but I don't know if they were all like that?

2003 saw clear side repeaters and a de locked passenger door.

2004 is ESP and cruise control but you'll be lucky to get an 04 172 as that was when they changed over to the 182.

My 53 plate doesn't have a de-locked passenger door? It was first registered in November 2003.

Strange... My 53 plate cup did and every other 03 onwards 172 also doesn't have a lock on the passenger door.

My 03' monaco doesn't have a de-locked passenger door but it does have ESP and cruise control so f**k knows?!?

I had ESP in my 03 172.

I don't think I've ever seen a Ph2 172 or a 182 without a door lock on the passenger side.
My 53 plate also had ESP, CC / speed limiter, CD changer etc. In fact, it was no different spec wise to a 182 apart from the usual stuff (exhaust, stereo etc).

So after a certain date...circa 2003 did they all get cruise, esp etc as standard or was it an option? Would a 2001 (51) model not have any form of traction control then?

Mines and 02 and has none of the girly driving aids.

According to Parkers, ESP came in June 2003

Cruise control was an option from Nov 2001

P.S. Have they finished that runway work at Marham yet?
