172 ph2 suspension, with pics plz

  Saxo Vtr, 172 Shortly
Alritey. New to the forum so how you all doing. Selling my VTR and the 172 should be here within a week. Been looking through the search function but haven't found exactly what I am looking for. So here goes....

Wanting my 172, on standard alloys ( fat 5 spokes ) lowered. Wanting it very low. Thinking 60 or lower. Not to keen on paying over 400 pounds for coilovers right anough but if I have to i will.

If going 60, whats a good spring only to use? if going above, cheapest coilovers? FK yea?

So can you post your pics with standard alloys and lowered 40 and above please just to I see the difference? Would b much appreciated

Cheers

If you want to keep a good ride you'll have to get coilovers realy FK's are good there cheap and popular but there not the best in the world. H and R are £750 but even they arn't the "best".

You might not be able to tell the difference between 40 and 60mm companies advertise them but how do you prove its 60mm lower I've seen cars lowered "60mm" and there no way near than coilovers companies are just as bad.

Yea cheers EDDE. No chance of paying for coilovers so just going to buy springs. How low should a 60mm drop look on the standard wheels? Very low? Apex spring decent enough?Pics plz as if it doesnt sit the way I hope it may have to be coilyz but dont really want to.
Cheers

  Lots of Alfas
I agree with that, Clio's will always look higher due to there bubble shape and wheel in each corner.

lowest spring youll find for a 172 is 40mm as far as im aware - if you want any lower you'll have to get coilovers. you can get 60mm for non 172 but not a 172. 40mm is low enough in my opinion. mines lowered about 50mm on coilovers and it has lost some of its handling qualities due to being too low - but it has gained some as well as long as the roads are good qulaity.

so its coilovers or nothing really for a drop of 60? do you get even full kits doin a 60 or greater drop? but around a pound mark?
