172 problem

the electrical light has come on and wont go any faster than 20mph and when stopped it revvs up to 2and a half k and stays there, turn off and back on and its fine its done this twice now any ideas wot it is?? the bloke at the garage says its a dodgy lamda sensor is he tellin me porkies??

the car drives its self, even with my foot flat 2 the floor it wont go no faster then 15-20mph

Its going into safe mode mate. Mine does it every now an then. There could be a number of things like a dodgy earth or sensor

Not sure what was wrong with it mate, i think it was getting a bad signal. Renault changed it under warrenty.

just took it 2 the garage put it on the diagnostic and its a fucked throttle body cheers 4 all your help chaps

New throttle body from Renault is circa £250. I'd recommend sourcing a second hand unit off a newish 182, they are the same part. I did and haven't had the fault since.
