Really? People have said improved response throughout? Any other performance mods you would reccomend apart from exhaust as want to keep outisde looking standard?

matched inlets, decat and a remap are your best bet for cheapish gains

You will feel a better throttle response and maybe a bit more pull lower down (depending on the remap) but on it's own, very little will be noticeable.

I have Superchip on mine.

Some breathing mods will help but you need to throw a fair bit of cash to get any decent gains from the Sport, as per Jon.L.

Mine came 2 days ago. Installed the Ron98 map. Made around 100km run to get the ECU understand the new map.

Same night I went rolling with a typeR and it was quite impressing. The second and the third gear is pulling great. And the 7500rpm is quite satisfactory. The car keeps going still while typeR keeps shifting :) and at each gear change of typeR, I am going half a car to the front :) but ofcourse at the 5th gear, he almost disappears :)

I have decat, complete 60mm exhaust pipes, muffler and a cold air intake. So I will get a custom map from Henk.

ahhhhh i see!

the type R has a fair few more horsepower than you, this is what's affecting the top end.

the only way to catch up would be more horsepower (cams+inlets) or ITB's if you want to leave him in the dust.

However i think if you lose some weight (rear seats, interior and get some lightweight fixed buckets) you'l have such a power/weight advantage in 2nd and 3rd that by the end of 5th he will only just catch you

Well he is overtaking so fast in the fifth gear I don't think that cams + inlets will help me catch him. There is almost 30 to 40 bhp difference. They say the seats weigh about 50 kg in total which will make around 2 cars of a distance in the long run.
