172 steering wheel - thumb rests

ahs anyone had the problem of the thumb rests come away and split?

only happen over the last week, possible to do with the heat?

Can you replace them or is it a whole steering wheel jobbie?

any one know how much a new steering wheel is?? :dapprove:

hi mine did it on my 182 after only 10k miles, managed to get one off ebay as i wanted to keep airbag, you can get other steering wheels as replacements but you wouldnt have the airbag, must be getting soft in my old age.

I noticed it the other Saturday, If you buy a new wheel can I have the old one?

Quite a few have been replaced under warranty here in australia.
