172 trouble starting (engine management)

hi,
my car has never started first time everytime but found out of cliosport that most 172's do this, but only recently its got alot worse and now the engine management light is on all the time and sometimes the electrical light come on (one with the zig zag line in a box) and then goes into limp mode. After a few try's the car starts and runs fine, not missing or kangerooing. I have no mods apart from k and n which ive had for ages, any help would be much appreciated, cheers

Hi, my 172 cup offten doesn't start first time. Its just had a full service and is still the the same. I think its prob a lead breaking down so gonna change those.

hi mate, i had the same problem in my cup (its a pain when it goes into limp mode when racing ) took mine to renault n they said it was ghosts in the ecu :S so they re-set the ecu n not happened since. hope that helps mate?
