Hi all just joined, as ive just bought a 172 off a mate on a 51 plate with 30k on the clock, i got it for £500 as it needs a suspected new conrod, i've stripped the engine down ready to take off the head then realised it is a vvt engine, this is where i need your help, can anyone advise me on the best way of dealing with this problem, bearing in mind the car is on axle stands in my garden at the mo with all the engine in the boot lmao!
