172 wheels on standard clio,any thoughts

Folks,

my mate is selling his 172 mk1 wheels after getting 17s and hes offering me a good price. I have a v plate metallic dark red 1.4 3dr and wondering if any of you have put these wheels on normal clios. What did u think, did they suit it ok?

Seen them on a valver at a recent meet, looked very nice. He needed to use spacers to get them to fit properly.

cheers guys, could be the start of a few subtle mods. im on the standard 14s just now and the 172 wheels are 15s so shouldnt be too much of a difference

As long as you dont put 2.0 16v badges on youll be fine!

I think theyd improve your car without making it looking aftermarket and drawing too much attention.

17s would look silly when its not lowered.

Saw another couple set of wheels i like too but will wait til im back from Tenerife b4 any decisions.

Mikey, forgot to say my old man is getting a clio extreme on sept 1st so will finally get my clio back! Hes downsizing from the written off megane!

Mk2 172 wheels look better imo but if you are getting them cheap you cant complain really.
