172 with 182 rear bumber????

hi all im the proud new owner of a 2002 blue clio 172. on to more important matters from the research that i have done the 2002 facelift spec 172 cup runs on the same flour plan as the 182. if this is true by fitting a 182 rear bumper then i can straight fit a 182 sports exhaust system to the 172 (this will include a 182 manifold and twin exit) to the car??? has anyone done this and/or is it passable. i would appreciate any help that is given and i thank you in advance.

no! you can get a 182 look exhaust fitted , ktec do one but it isnt cheap! your 172 has a spare wheel well so you cant have a standard 182 twin exhaust casue it wont fit!

i havent got my hands on the car yet but isnt the spare wheel held under the car by a metal braket like on the mk1 clio? if this is true and removed can the system run staight through. also im more interested in having perfomance side of the system change. ive read that the 182 manifold and system can see raises of 10bhp.

The cup is probably like most other clios and the spare wheel wont be under the car but inside the car under the boot floor.

Manifold and cat is different so a 182 exhaust won't just fit.
