172 X REG SUSSPENSION

  Clio 182 04 reg
Hello peeps. I have a Clio 172 with 16" alloys and lowered 30mm but it handles s**t!

Can someone tell me what the best suspension is for my car to make it handle like it is on rails.

Thanks,

Cliohal

Why do you think it handles bad to start with? Whats wrong with it?
Mines on 15"s and lowered 40 and it rocks.

H&R coil's are a good choice tho

In standard trim they are perfect for the UK's roads, maybe you just need to renew the dampers. If you want it to handle like its on rails then get coilovers and get them set up by a proffesional, or even get some adjustable dampers and keep you springs.

Saw your car in Bourne woods a while back, I was with a guy with a orange rover. Also saw you at donnington on the camp site down the bottom.

Think the way ahead is coilovers. Will be the next thing i buy for the car!

Any recomendations?

Fancy that! What a small world. Will have to meet up some time!

Do you come down Bourne way alot?

mines lowered 40 on 16s and handles ace. might upgrade the shocks tho to firm it up eben more but there always the balance between handling and ride comfort.

Personaly just replace with all new stock stuff and bushes etc.

or else pay £750 or so for H and R's minimum.
