make sure you take the VOSA print off about the rear brakes as it will highly likely fail on rear brake effort

been through both having a illegal tread and not having one,

its down to the mot tester, if u have a spare that is illegal its a fail by the book, but most dont care as you could say fine il remove it for the mot.

the last comment is backed up by not requiring a spare for an mot

No spare is OK , but a bald spare would be an failure thing , most likely they should point it out tbh .

There are few cars nowadays without spare wheels , all the runflats tyres about , You'll be ok .
