172cup turinis won't fit 182ff ???

  Za**** & Xr250R
My mate has just bought a set of 172cup turinis for his 182ff and when putting the rear wheel's on they won't fit over the hub of the brake disk the centre bore of the turini is too small has anyone got any idea's why they won't fit ???

The front's fit perfect btw and they are defo 172cup turinis.

I've also just fitted a set of 172cup turinis on my 182ff and had no problem's at all, and both car's are 182's without cup pack's :S

Thank's

Yep mate that's the first thing we done and yeah we took sand paper and a wire brush to the rear disk's then greased them up before trying to fit, and the turinis are in mint condition never been refurbed so no extra layer's of paint to stop them fitting. It's not a vast difference i'd say about 3mm to small the centre bore is :S

I've told him he might have to have the centre of the turinis machined to fit that's all i can come up with thb

what wheels where on the car before?

Standard silver 182 alloy's they fitted on his new disk's no bother but when it came to taking the 182 wheel's off we used a mallot as they were rusted in place as he didn't grease them up before fitting.

  Dodgy one
I know mate is it a possibilit the wheel's aren't cup turinis ???

I will get him to check for part number's now

I was having a similar conversation with a lad at work last week when i was on about some o.zs

If they are aftermarket turinis i'd have thought you'd be able to change the centrebore with spigot rings thats if the ones fitted can be pulled out, otherwise they'l need maching,

If they were the wrong rear disks the standard wheels wouldnt fit on ;) the centrebore on the turinis is too small
