18 " wheels with 215/35/18

Car  clio 65
my sons just bought above wheels 100 pcd we have tried them but cannot bolt them on as need new studs but they seem a bit tight on front strut anyone have these fitted?

If they are very tight on the front struts (i.e. catching on the damper) the wheel offset may be wrong. I think this could potentially be solved by spacing them out and away from the struts.

You won't find many on here with 18" wheels unfortunately/fortunately.

I didn't think it was possible to jam 18" wheels into the arches of a Mk2.

Your son has thought this through though? I'd imagine the ride will be cack, and with a 35 profile I'd be wincing that any hole I went through would result in a buckled wheel. Is the car lowered, or will it be lowered in the future? I suspect rubbing will become an issue here, or even with folk in the back. I'm no expert though, so could be talking shite. Just something to think about.

Yes. I seriously doubt 18s will fit on the back, probably just about with standard suspension.

What is the offset?

thanks for advice suspension is standard i don,t think they will look good but i,m not judging just asking if they will fit they look like they will but i myself am concerned about rubbing when loaded don,t want him spending money on new studs, locking nuts and sprigots to find out my concernes with rubbing we all have our opinion about what looks good and what does,nt thats why we all buy different things in life whats good to one is not for another i,ve seen cars on here that don,t look good to me, my opinion if up for discusion then comment yes not that i would run someones pride and joy down thanks for advice who advised will pass on
