182 Advice for a newbie

Hi all

I have been after a FF Clio 182 in artic blue for five years and am finally in a position to buy I have £4000 to spend and a 1.2 16v Clio Extreme 3 (67000) to part exchange/Sell.

Had a very brief chat with the sales man who suggested £800 for mine and £4200 cash which seems a little steep to me what do you think?

Otherwise I am having trouble finding much else on autotrader, I am planning to keep the new car indefinitely so I want to get a good example.

i would've thought your 1.2 would be worth more than that depending on mot and tax? I'd probably try sell your 1.2 privately rather than part ex

There's a car dealer on here who is based your way (presuming you're north east) who specialises in these cars. I'd contact them, they're called DTM cars.
