182 alternator cost?

Does anyone know how much a new alternator is for a 182? The garage (not renault) sent it away to be repaired, but came back they they didnt have the parts, so 2 options are to try and make a non 182 1 fit/work, or they say £350+vat for a new 1... Having just had a serivce 3 weeks ago, then replacing oxygen sensor 2 weeks ago this looks like an expensive month.

Any ideas?

I beleive its used in other Renaults, a good recon place should be able to do it. They sometime crop up on ebay from time to time or in the for sale section.

It should be the same one used in the 172s.
