The Oil and service light was flashing at me this morning so need a quick fix as my service is only a week away...

What is a basic engine oil i can pick up from Halfrauds as i'm in work and have no time to order or look for anything more specific :dapprove: I kept the engine at low revs and don't want to drive all the way home again before topping the oil up.

Can I go for any 5W40?

Silkoline pro s 5w40 is what i and a lot of people on here use,think its £50 for 5litres inc p+p from opie oils.

GFS are doing the Fuchs ( speeling ) super synth titan for about £30 for 5L !

Not quite as good as the Silkoline, but not far off!
