182 cup’d

Just out of curiosity, is there a big difference to the drive / handling of a standard 182 compared to a cupd one?

I presume the 182 has sports suspension anyway, considering what it is! I bought a standard 182 and am pretty happy with the ride (I drive a lot of long distances) Im also reasonably happy with the handling (although not as good as my 205gti)

Anyone experienced a 182 with and without cup suspension?

Done 12k in a cupless 182, just bought a cupped 182, and done 2k so far.

Its a bit stiffer, tighter, and loves corners! I am very glad for it - makes that wee bit of difference when I put my foot down...

The turning circle isnt as good, so for manovering u turns, and on cobble streets, an uncupped 182 would fair better...

IMO of course!

cheers for that, I just feel it could only be less comfy on the long journeys with cup suspension. I appreciate the turn and stability would be better with it though.

Ahh well Im happy your happy were all happy :D
