182 cup fuel light issue

ok so my 182 fuel light has come on and the trip is saying 31 miles left, however the guage is reading 1/8 of a tank, i know the light normally comes on in the red zone. Any ideas?

Does the light go out when you fill it up?

My light came on once when I had half a tank ! Little bit of poo may have poped out because I thought I had no petrol and I had no idea where I was lol
Went off when I filled up with fuel

Same has happened to my Cup too mate, i was told it's a sender issue. Anyway, filled her up and it hasn't happened since.

cool cheers for the advice, it worked and hasnt come on again, im gonna say it was having a french moment
