182 Cup...what mods?

  Peddled device
I think l'm sticking with my 182 Cup after pricing up an Evo and an STi...too much to run at the mo for me :(

Went to see a couple today and whilst driving my Cup was screaming 'Why sell me?!'

So...l have a 182 Cup with 20k on the clock and it runs perfectly.I'm not looking to change anything with the suspension as l think its perfect. If l was l would be going for a Trophy.Which leads me to these questions...

1.As the seats look crap in a Cup what are the best options? I have seen what Paul has done and it looks good...but l guess its not worth going for a Trophy just for the seats.Or should l make the jump to a 197?

2.My engine has been re-mapped by RS Tuning.Nothing else has been done so whats the next step up...air-filter/box change?

3.What upgrades for the brakes? My original discs are fine but pads will soon be coming up for a change. Can l gain from just changing pads and what change in feel will this have?

4.The fooking steering wheel !!!! Its like it came from a Renault HGV IMHO....surely something can be done to change it ?

As l said when l got to the place that had the STi l was in two minds as to whether l should just go back home....it was so good to go for a blast and of course a lot of the attraction of the 182 is its fun to drive without losing your license.

Long live the 182 :)

1. Trophy seats if you have a grand spare

2. Try a ITG panel filter, simple and effective

3. Recommend ferodo DS2500 padss and ferodo carbon discs

4. yes not ideal, id recommend a wee sparco number
