182 ecu guard removal

Car  clio 182
hi, i tried to remove the black guard from the ecu under the bonnet to repair one of the cracked fixings on the guard itself but couldnt remove it, wondered if ther was a way of doing it before i brake it??

As Fred said, albeit slightly differently, with a lot of force. I done mine yesterday and used a flathead screwdriver to pry open the gaps inbetween the top and bottom sections, then pull.

ha, thought it may be the case. cheers. another question, i normaly just let the garage do most of the work and they did my coilovers so ive never fitted any before but i wanted to put my rear strut brace on and when i came to remove the top nuts in the boot they twist with a kind of spring feel so i left it coz i bormaly break things. hows it best to remove these nuts and fit the bar? simple job for someone that knows but thought i shud ask first. cheers

Pretty simple job although I assume you are aware that unless you want a bar to tie luggage to its of no value?

ino it does nout but its been sittin round and i just fancy it on for abit. waitin on a 172 fuel rail and regulator to make my 182 turbo run right but ive been waitin over 2 weeks for the bits from some nob ed on gumtree! might of been robbed but il wait till fri to see if they turn up. he says hes posted it fri even tho i payed him 2 weeks ago so god nos, joke
