182 engine/exhaust sound

went through a tunnel for the first time yesterday and thought i would see what my car sounded like. i thought it sounded pretty bloody amazing, even with the standard exhaust.

im a happy chappy!

I don't know - for me the standard exhaust is a bit too quiet so I'm looking to change asap. Don't just want noise though, I wan't power gains!

im just used to a 1.6 astra which didnt sound exciting at all.

would love a new exhaust though, although dont want one which sounds too boomy with normal driving

Don't get me wrong, I don't think on full chat it sounds too bad (in fact a lot of my non-car loving friends think it sounds "fruity"), but for a peformance car it's too muted for my tastes.

I'm in the market for something like that too, would like it to be nearly as quiet as it is at low speeds, but then sounds a little better when I open it up. Only problem is I have a 172 and also want to keep the pipe hidden!

ive watched it a few times, i absolutely love the sound of it!

it does sound quite bassy at low revs though.

i had a mate with a zetec s with a very load exhaust, went down to stanstead with him, in the back. i got a real bad headache from that!
