182 Engine whine

Done know if this is normal or not but when i start my 182 the engine makes quiet a load whining noise from cold ,only for around 1-2 mins then goes off,Dont know if this is normal or not ,does anyone know what it could be if not?

yup, oil pump is a bit noisy when cold IIRC.

Mine has done it from new, like all the others. thought it was some cold start valve or something....
