182 Exalto PE2s From mytyres.co.uk

Forgive me, but this question may have already been asked - the search facility is not working fully so Ill ask again!

Does anyone know why only the £96 W rated Exalto PE2s are available from mytyres.co.uk and not the £76 V rated Exalto PE2s i.e. the same one as currently fitted to my car?

So are they withrawn/discontinued? Thats what the email seems to say.

Seems strange. Theyve got 195/45/16 Exaltos V rated, but not the 205s.
Must be very popular. It also seems strange they are not listed either. Perhaps theyre trying to flog the W rated tyres.

I got my tyres from them and they seem to be cheaper than mytyres, and more importantly they arrived with 2 days (ordered Wed morning - arrived Friday lunchtime).

they are more expensive than mytyres for the PE2s, they both only have the W rated tyre and mytyres are £108, £3 cheaper.

Why stock a tyre thats cheaper by £20 and the only noticable difference to J public is a V or W. Its just they can charge the extra for a better tyre and get away with it. Cocopops still got them for £95ish each fitted fro britannia tyres in Cov, so it must be worth phoning around

Yep, I looked into this and even phoned Michelin to ask if they were in constraint.

They said at the time of the call, they had 33 205/45/16/V in stock for delivery. They deffo arent being discontinued.

Looking at PE2 in 195/50/15 there is a 20 quid difference in V and W rating. Its only a clio and I am sure V is more than adequate !!!!

The Vs are £82.40 at mytyres. Nothing showing on tyre-world for it, but I emailed them and they quoted me a price of £79.60.

Their sales guy told me that when their database stock level falls below 4 tyres it is automatically removed from the database and is only put back on again when the level reaches 4 or more again. Apparently it is in case some one tries to buy more tyres than they currently have in stock. makes some sense as I dont know anyone who buys more than 4 tyres in one go.

They have 2 x "V" rated tyres in stock, but are expecting more next week, so they should be available then.
