3 Series xdrive
Hi folks, have just took the plunge and bought my second 182,its a non cupped 04 plate 29k miles and just had timing belt done, really pleased with it, in really good condition.
Apart from, noticed a noise when flooring it coming from under the car, near the front, now, i dont know that much about the mechanics of cars but it looks to me like its the cat, the other box/pipe in the middle looks like it has been replaced recently, but the section i think to be the cat looks rather done, plus its moving about when starting up and switching off the engine.
Anyone know how much a new cat is? and the best place to get one? not wanting to go down the decat route as all the exhaust is standard, i will be putting a s/s rear section when that goes though.
