182 exhaust Mounts

I have a stainless steel exhaust fitted to my 182, it uses the standard exhaust mountings which unless they are helped with tie wraps seems to allow the exhaust to sag and vibrate on the axle beam.Looking at the design of the rubbers which are like star shaped having voids in them i was wondering if filling them with such as silicone sealant would help strengthen them and take some of the flex out of them...has anyone tried this or maybe have any other ideas.

I've got cable ties on my s/s exhaust, just for safety's sake.
