182 Exhaust removal advice needed

  Saab 93 Aero Wagon
To any of the well trained experts on here!

I've got to fit the Magnex cat back system that we bought second hand for the missus' 182 and i was just wondering if there is a straightforward procedure.

Im guessing maybe rear bumper off, drop the rear beam and then slide it back and out or is it easier to cut it?

Also what do i need to fit the new one? Gasket between the cat and centre section and new bolts obviously but do i get these from Renault?

Any help would be great! :D

You dont need to cut it or remove anything (bodywork) just get it up on some ramps and remove it slowly you cant go wrong.

you can prob reuse the old gasket, just re fit with a splash of paste.

no need to cut the OEM too, liek you said support the rear by the jacking points, wip off the two 18mm lower shock bolts and raise the rear of the car,

once you get the rear high enough the whole system will side out of the back with a big of a wiggle!

Ahh ok! We have lift ramps at work so i can get the whole car in the air. What i've done before changing the rear springs on my car is support the rear axle using a gearbox cradle jack so i guess i'll do the same doing this.

What kind/size bolts do i need for the cat/centre section join?
