182 Exhaust

I've noticed my exhaust which is the standard 182 exhaust has got a lot more throaty recently and louder. I've done over 10k in it so I expect its because of the engine opening up more now?

Perhaps it's broken! 182 Zorsts break a lot so I hear.
Check it over?

yeah mine started getting louder - if its cold and your next to a wall - does it sound like its blowing?? mine does..

My 182 has just under 13k miles now and i'm sure my exhaust is the same too, could just me tho thinking something different, or we both have a problem.

I got mine with 7k miles in December - can it get deeper/burble a bit in that time?

possibley, more likely a cracked weld on a standard exhaust.

Take it into reno ?? or an exhaust place and ask them to look at it up on the lift

nah, shouldnt make any difference, but you can always wait and see. a crack will be really small at first.

Depends how loud it is. Maz's start off as a bit throaty but now its quite noticeable.

Put a cotton cloth over the end of the exhaust pipe (both of them in this case).. then listen to see if there is any fumes getting out before they reach the exit, if its blowing then there will be a hissing noise coming from underneath the car..

I've got the car booked in for a few things now including this. I noticed today that the engine is popping (as in the exhaust flow will be steady then a noticable increase) which it keeps doing. You can also see the engine move when this happens.

Anyone know what the hells going on?
