182 Front Bumper

Car  Megane DCi 147bhp/350nwm
My 1.2 16v. MK 2 PH 2, the front bumper off a 182, do i need bigger front wings for it to fit? is there not a way of making it fit without it looking too much of a bodge?

I've never come across the wings yet could get myhnads on the fornt bumper..

Any help asap would be kind thanks :D

It will fit but im pretty sure its alot of buggering about to get it to look right. I know Has has had it done might be worth asking him.

As Loony says it can be done.

Lots of work involved due to the bumper being larger.
My car spent a week in the bodyshop, but its come back spot on. (im a fussy git)

Buper is not bent at all, has been heat moulded and then re-shaped with some fiberglass work. All my arch liners and fixings etc fit back in.

I know Dutty managed to grind a bumper down and fit... but i cant see it being easy to get it on perfectly ( i have seen and so has bodyshop )

Heres the end result

yer its not bad, just trying to get a bodyshop to do it at the right price will be a b**ch !

(also trying to explain to my insurance company hahaha)

would it not be easier to just buy the 172 wings? and match the skirts to fit? I dunno just a thought?

Yup that would have been the easy route.

BUT i would have had to replace my skirts (dont fit 172 wings)

Also my wheels would have sunk so far into thew arches i would need 30/40mm spacers !!

how much did it cost to get it remoulded? or so to speak. i've just bought a front bumper and grills for £100...brand new :< eeeek

wings are only about £50 each but you'll need the sideskirts too and then there's paint and labour. Either way its not cheap.

i already got some skirts but not sport ones! hmmm is it a hard job to remould the bumper? no way of bodging it on:P

sorry only just saw this thread again

b3nje... ur best off just buying the wings as mentioned £50 each, and get soem skirts.

Much easier then messing around with it fitting in.

Plus on insurance you can just declare it much easier ;) make sure u do tho ! :P
