182 Grinding/Crunching noise @ slow speed

I have a 182 (26k miles) which makes this grinding crunching noise when I'm just setting off or coming to a stop, usually worse when I'm turning into or coming out of my drive or 3 point turning etc. Think it does it when I apply brakes at slow speed too.
Any ideas on the cause, Anyone else have the same problem?.
The car is 2 Yr old in May, is it still under warranty?

I had this exact problem. Not sure if its the same as yours though. When i was fitting my new DS2500 pads, i took the squeal plates out of the caliper as the pads were a bit large. But after a while they began to move about and make horrible noises when braking.l Would check you still have these in or your pads are not too small. Bit of a long shot, but seems very similar to my problem.

Cant imagin it would be your CV joints ona 2 year old car. Only other prob it might be would be the strut top mounts. but that only happens over bumps etc.. and not usually when braking.

I dont think the brakes have ever been touched, I got the car at 11k miles & I havent changed them so I assume they are the original brakes. There is no problem with the brakes during heavy braking, ABS works fine etc.
I'll probably let the dealer take a look when I get the time. Just wondered if any of you chaps had experienced these symptoms too.
