182 handbreak in 1.2?

will a handbreak from a 182 fit a mk2 1.2? they look identical on the outside pretty much apart from the silver button! have already got the handbreak, just dont want to take it to a garage and be laughed out! lol
any ideas how much it will take to fit if it will fit? cheers!

The handbrake leavers are the exact same if that's what you're wondering

Don't see why not matey, I'm sure the trim alone comes off though.

Yup.

Will fit no problem.

Easy to do yourself also. Remove the covering and theres 2 nuts to undo.
Might have to remove heatshield under car to loosen the cable to remove the handbrake.

Not a long job at all.
