182 headunit

Brother in laws just bought a 182 and went to look in halfrauds at headunits he saw one he liked so asked them about fitting it for him they said they didn't want to do it. They said that changing headunits on them brings warning lights up on dash and they don't want owt to do with it are they right or is it a load of rubbish they've told him.

If thats the case it's the first I have heard of it.

If he wants a good mid range headunit I have a 2 week old pioneer DEH-6800mp for sale for 120 delivered.

It will mean the loss the radio details etc on the upper screen display and the stalk controls next to the wheel without the use of the relevant adapter leads but will not cause any warning lights. The standard headunit has ISO connections so aftermarket units will just plug in.

cheers guys just rung him he got a headunit today he got told he could buy a think from jvc to go with it so display works
