182 hissing on load...?

  BMW M3
Right... i originally thought that i had a blowing exhaust as i would get a hissing when i put my foot down. However, after many hours spend under the car by both myself and Dastek, who fitted my exhaust, i have come to the conclusion its not blowing.

The reason i think this is becasue: the gasket has been recently changed and the mechanics have checked the exhaust system 3 times. If you look under the car while proding the accel with your hand, you cant hear any hissing, and even when you just rev it in neutral, there is no hissing.

When it does hiss is when it comes on load and happens around 2800 rpm everytime without fail and then begins to quieten down as it reaches 6000rpm.

The guys at Dastek think it may be the passing of air (induction etc..) from my inlet manifold match, Janspeed backbox and the ITG panel filter, but this noise started about 100 miles after the exhaust was fitted, and so i am really confused.

My own theory is that maybe something inside the exhaust isnt quiet setup right and thus: Hissing.

Anyone got any ideas as i am stumped. :S

Thanks Guys

P.S. Exhaust only 1 month old...

I still think its the zorst mate, mine was like this, i checked under the car for ages checking it, only found the gap (so so tiny you wouldnt believe) when my mate took the car to 5000rpm in neutral and i felt by the decat and it was quite wet, couldnt really feel any thing apart from that. Sealed it up and the hissing has gone now.

Yeah... that was my thoughts but ive been under the car, with it reving and cant find anything. The guys that fitted it have checked it too as well and cant find it. Dont know what to do... might try claim for a new one as the baffles dont seem right either.

Thanks mate
