So after finding out both my front wheels had excessive play and finding the clunk which had shown itself was possibly the passengers ball joint nut being loose after the joint had developed play, i changed both sides outer track rods.
The passengers wheel play left to right improved a lot, however i can still feel some very slight play so im guessing inner tie rod.
The drivers side, still after a new track rod end still has play! it was ridiculous before, but still has some bad movement, Ive tried to see weather my steering rack was lose, but i think its not moving, so i guess its the inner rod still.
Ive read about the tool, is it specifically Renault only? or will most specialist garages have the tool? my drivers side needs doing, and i was thinking £80 fitted, but im reading around £200 in one post ?! I'd change it myself but id need the tool if i can even buy it and i hear its a pig of a job drivers side.
