182 kit for my 1.2

Hey all. New to this so bare with me plz! Always fancied the 182 but seriously cant afford the insurance with my student loan pissin on me!! ...So decided to swap my standard 55plate 1.2 bumpers for those from a 182! Does anyone know if this is possible? If so is it easy to fit or will i have to get out the big hammer for sum gentle persuasion?? also... i heard i would need to change my front wings aswell. is this true? why? finally... where can i get a full kit (front and rear bumpers, side skirts, poosibly front wings)? seen loads of scrappers on ebay but is it worth jus goin to renault? any help would be much appreciated... thanks!

Another thing... can anyone tell me how to go about colour coding all of the external black plastic trim and bump strips. My car is the common as muck standard black u see on every other clio on the road!! Do i need to sand, prime, spray, etc.. or can i jus remove them and spray them straight up? on the other hand should i jus get them done at a bodyshop? Would really like to know how to do it myself however!

As kully was saying you can use the 172/182 body parts to convert your car.

If you are doing a full conversion you need the following items:

Front Bumper
- Top Insert
- Lower Insert
- Fog Surrounds
- Fogs
- Washer kets or blanks

Wings ( As they are wider to fit bumper)
- Arch Liners

Side Skirts (To fit wings)

Rear Bumper
- Arch Liners
- Rear Bumper Insert

20/25mm Hubcentric Spacers for your front wheels as the wider wings will make them shrink into your wheel arches.

Now there is another option for the front, is to use the new 172/182 front bumper and have it modified to attatch to your existing standard wings.

This can be done by a DIY fix yourself in which various people have tried with varying results.

Or take it to a bodyshop and have it done.
(Mine has been heat moulded and re-shaped to fit my standard wings using all origional fixing points.)

This save you buying wider front wings and also no hassle with spacers for your wheels.

My clio is just the common pearl black (i think thats wot it called not sure) dunno the paint code. I saw an aftermarket imitation 182 kit (inc. f+r bumpers, skirts, spoiler, mesh grills) on ebay for app£250 to fit standard clio models!! looks pretty nice too! Modest!! i hate those chav kits that make cars looks as if they could fookin fly!! also means theres less hassle with fittin it.
