182 knocking over bumps - again!

Can anyone help please!

I am lowered on Apex springs. Ride has been (bumpy) fine for the last 4 months (30k on the clock). Recently when going over SOME bumps I got a knocking noise mainly front right. Took it to a garage (no names!) who said it was the mount. It was a problem with the 172s and Reno was supposed to call 182s in to get it sorted....

So basically, the garage got a grinder out and said the mount top was not 'round'. So they made it round, put ot all back together and said job done.

It was okay for a day, BUT NOW, it doesn't stop knocking over ANY bump on the road... I can feel the knocking on the accelerator pedal too... Something is def. loose!??

If I take it to Reno will they touch it (under warranty - 6 months left) considering it's been lowered, and been take to with a metal grinder - and if so - Il take it they'll rob me for every penny?

Any of your thoughts would be helpful...

JACKO CUP 172!

Don't think renault will touch it without charging u a fortune cus its been modded!!

Just a thought, did they look at ur anti roll bar links, my misses has broken hers on her clio 3 times in 3 years, it makes a loose rattle over any bump or pot hole and is cheap to fix!! (about £20!)

sounds like it may be the anti roll bar link. The word 'rattle' is def. it! Any hump or bump in the road gives that lovely i'm going to fall to bits rattle. I'm taking it to Reno ASAP this weekend maybe - I'll let you know of the damage (£££). Thanks for your help guys!

If you still have warranty, put the standard springs on and take it to your local dealer, they will sort it for you :)

  C63 AMG, F430 & 172
and if it doesnt knock with stock springs ? ;)

dont say you had it to a garage to have the shoulder grinded. as said imo its the bush's and bolts for the ARB.

or ball joints (can fail early on 172/182)
